NIUF

nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM)

User-programmable random access memory whose data is retained when modem power is

turned off. Used in Courier modems to store a user-deÞned default conÞguration loaded

into random access memory (RAM)

at power on.

North American ISDN UsersÕ Forum (NIUF)

An organization formed in 1988 to give ISDN users a say about the implementation of

ISDN and ISDN applications. The NIUFÕs mission is to Òhasten the availability of interop-

erable, conforming ISDN products which meet usersÕ needs.Ó
